The Rockland Economic Development Department focuses on building Rockland’s economy by creating and attracting new businesses and retaining and expanding existing businesses to stimulate job growth as a way of improving the quality of life in Rockland County. Its role is to coordinate the operations of economic development programs and services for business and industry in Rockland County.
The Rockland Economic Development Department provides access to marketing, technical assistance, government contracting programs, information and referrals.

Located in the southeastern part of New York State — just 15 miles northwest of the George Washington Bridge, Rockland County is a major crossroads with easy access to interstate highways and all tri-state airports.
